In 2023, I received an exciting commercial collaboration proposal through an agent from the renowned Issey Miyake brand. The project involved creating 100 elegant, raindrop-shaped wooden trays for their newly launched perfume line. Each tray was inspired by the lush beauty of tropical rainforests, aiming to capture and convey their serene and rejuvenating essence.
Every tray was meticulously crafted from high-quality, sustainably sourced wood to ensure both beauty and environmental responsibility. To enhance their aesthetic appeal and durability, I used epoxy resin combined with materials typically found in miniature landscapes, mimicking natural scenery. This innovative approach ensured that each tray was unique, offering recipients a sense of being immersed in the calming atmosphere of a tropical rainforest.
The project took around three months to complete, marking one of the significant milestones since I began my creative journey. It presented a fresh challenge that I fully embraced, enjoying the endless possibilities offered by epoxy resin. I'm grateful for this opportunity and look forward to creating more custom pieces in the future.
